Mens fashion and sports cars have gone hand-in-hand for the better part of a century. The reason why is simple, it's all design. Fashion and cars are both beautiful forms of art and design that inspire each other, something all gentleman can appreciate.
When it comes to design, Italy is praised for being the epitome of classic design, from the Ferrari Testarossa and Lamborghini Countach, to the Mark Chris Kingsman oxford-slipper or wingtip Stefano slipper.
But today we are jumping into the next level of hyper-cars (think sports-cars on steroids). Mark Chris and his crew stepped into the super-charged garage of Manny Khoshbin to deliver his pair of Veloce driving shoes (Italian for "fast"). The name of the is as appropriate as it's Manny's collection. Khoshbin is a $100 million dollar real-estate-mogul, author, entrepreneur, and hyper-car collector, who has built a name for himself as a true success story and an all around sophisticated gent.
Mark Chris is known to be a gear-head as well, he openly has shared how many of his original designs were inspired by luxury supercars. Needless to say, Chris and Khoshbin had a lot of common ground to talk about, as the photos can attest.
Mark Chris and Manny Khoshbin snap a photo in front of Manny's Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Roadster Vitesse Rembrandt. Mark is wearing his Watson slippers while Manny’s proudly displays his new tumbled calfskin leather, cobalt-blue Veloce driving shoes.
Khoshbin’s garage is filled with a large variety of men’s dreams: Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Mansory Bugatti, Pagani, SLR McLaren Mercedes Benz, Porsche 918 Spyder, Porsche Carrera GT, McLaren LP1, Saleen S7, and the list goes on.
(The Mansory Bugatti, a one-off custom-made piece of machinery by the prestigious luxury car modification firm, Mansory).
...and then we came to Manny's favorite, the custom-made Hermès Pagani Huayra.
I mean...
The Pagani Huayra is showered in the Hermès luxury brand, from all the leather interior and stitching, to the "H" monogram designed metal grills, because WHY NOT?
The Pagani is parked in Mr. Khoshbin’s California garage among the rest of the fleet, where it’s busy looking impressive.
Mark Chris has a true appreciation on the design thinking, materials and engineering that take these automobiles and supercharges them into badass hypercars...
Inspiration takes many forms. I'll look at a classic 911 Porsche and see my shoes. While on the surface there may not be any visible resemblance, if you look deeper you’ll see the same qualities. I see something elegant, powerful, meticulously crafted, timeless, classic, badass, and still desired in a modern world even more so than a current style - all the same values I envision in each Mark Chris design before I start sketching. Be classic, be legendary, be a visionary.

like the Hermès Pagani Huayra, the Mark Chris’ Veloce drivers are handmade in Italy. Both the Hermès Pagani Huayra and Veloce driving shoes are steadied with treaded, rubber soles for high performance and beautiful design.
Both car and shoe have incorporated high-fashion detailing, from the Hermès-printed metal exterior of the Pagani's grill and vents, to the metal Mark Chris Monogram on the Veloce driving loafer.
Walk in these...no, drive in these.
Chances are you’ve heard of Entourage and the infamous ‘Ari Gold’ - the over-reactive, equal opportunity offender, Hollywood shark that we all came to know and love. A character who undoubtedly rose to the top for being crass, unorthodox, and surprisingly committed to his wife...
